A Water fresh weekend.... Shivanasamudram Falls....

A typical weekend in b’lore for me would be meeting up with friends at one of the only landmarks in b’lore like garuda mall, forum, M.G.Road etc., watch a movie or two, go for bowling @amoeba or may be laze arnd in the PG chit chatting with PGmates. But this weekend got a chance to be away from the concrete jungles of b’lore and be closer to nature and natural beauty……

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I guess this has to be one of the best weekends I have had in b’lore…Wondering what’s so special about this weekend… Hmmm after a very brief (specifically 3 mails) the trip gang (includes Kshitij, ashish, mangesh, Rashmi, Sheeba, Garima, nita, swati, smita and myself) concluded that all of us would be spending our weekend under a waterfall :DDDD Surprised what sort of weekend plan is that :O:D This weekend the entire gang had been to the beautiful shivanasamudram falls ( a master piece of nature)……….

As decided by the gang head, Kshitij, we decided to start by 4:00 am in the morning from our PG. Ours being the tarting point, we girlies were the victims of getting up early in the morning, specifically sheebz & rash :DDD Garry and myself were like having a sleeping contest in spite of the fact that we had decided this time to get up at one alarm ring, which obviously never happened. Finally rash had to wake us up @5:00 am. Mind it already we were late by 1 hr :DD Finally our den creatures were all set to go by 5:30 am b-) Kshitij came with our sawari (travera) and then rash, sheebz, garry, Kshitij and myself started off @5:45 am.

The next halt was at ashish & mangesh’s place. I always had this feeling that girls take hell lot of time to get ready for any trip or journey. But all my thinking were proved wrong by ashish & mangy. They made us wait for more than ½ hr and finally what we saw, ashish coming up with an air bag of his size… was he planning for a one-day trip or a week tour :DD Then we concluded may be he might have taken clothes to get it washed in the waterfall :DD After picking up the VIPs of the trip our next task was to pick up nita and smita.. Here too we had to wait for sometime. The only person who was fully punctual was swati b-)

Once all the gang members were picked up, we were all set on our way to shivanasamudram (A place 200 kms away frm b’lore). After having had brkfast at one of the outlets on the way, we made a move towards our destination.. During the trip we got to know the DJying skills of kshitij. If you wanna finish a 1 hr CD in 10 mins time u can approach our DJ Kshitij :DDD Seems it wasn’t a good day for Kshitij… he was the only person whose leg was being pulled :DDD DJ ji ka din hi kharab tha :DDD The four girlies from our PG rash, garry, sheebz & myself had a gala time at the back seat and were doing fultoos masti sitting @the back… Will remember throughout our code stmt -- “Sakhat A maga” :DDDDD

Finally after a journey of arnd almost 3 hrs we reached our destination – the so-called shivanasamudram. The first place we reached was the top view of the falls… Herein after doing a short photography session, we started on our final destination -- 15 kms from the current location – the bottom of the falls. After a few climbs up and down we finally reached a spot where we could feel the falls and water within ourselves… Once in the water we ppl were behaving as if we had been released from some zoo :DDD Ppl who were there would never have taken us for the so-called sophisticated s/w professionals. Have to accept it was like, saara professionalism b’lore main chodhkar gaye the wahan :DDD Now once in the water we were split into three gangs…based on our location @different rocks in the flowing water… And it was like a water war going on btwn the three gangs :DDDDD The only snds that could be heard was ‘ATTACK’. Ashish was the person who njoyed splashing water the most :PPP Once we got the chance we took a good revenge on ashish too :DDD The place is simply superb and playing in the water was an awesome experience….. Truly people have said somewhere within us there is a mind of a small kid.. and I witnessed tht yesterday……

We were in the water for some 3 hrs time and finally when the water flow started increasing we decided to make a move half heartedly…. Being in the water never even once realized hunger.. but once out of the water everyone was feeling damn hungry.. Now as per our plan we were also supposed to visit a place called ‘talakkad’ some 20-25 kms away frm this place. So we decided to have lunch there….During the trip towards talakkad the backside of the vehicle(i.e. the place where we PGmates were located) appeared as though it had gone numb with we four occupants fast asleep there :DD Maybe we were the only ones tired with the water sports :DDD

Now once at talakkad, we could go only uptil the entry point of talakkad in our private vehicle. Due to some pooja happening there private vehicles were allowed only uptil a point 2.5 kms away frm the actual place. After having parked our vehicle, we decided to walk down uptil cauvery river or find a rick to make us reach our destination.. But finally we reached the destination in a tempo ;)))) Every passer by on the road were staring @us as if we were some aliens who have landed frm mars :DDD But it was a gr8 experience in itself….. Finally the tempo fella dropped us @ a point some ½ kms away frm cauvery river!!

On our way to the river we found one small house cum hotel and decided to have lunch there….. The lunch was an R&D session, but the results of the same were fantafabulous. We had bread with butter, jam and some namkin.. hainaa ekdum desi sandwich ;):DD Finally after having such a gala lunch we started our journey towards cauvery river… Once there we realized tht a journey of almost 27 kms from shivanasamudram to talakkad only was for a boating :DDDD After the long walk whn we reached cauvery river we could find only ppl boating :(((( finally we had to be satisfied with the boating but it was fun during the boating session b-) garry was the most happiest person coz she got her orkut profile pic cliked with our boatman ;):P:DDDD

Finally Once completed with our cauvery river boating part, we started on our journey back uptil out vehicle. During our walk sheebz and myself got attracted to some toy monkeys being sold by a vendor. Out of fascination we got 2 of them, the best part was they were making a snd more like some sparrow than a monkey :DD Finally we gave them wonderful names chickoo and mickoo :PPP Meanwhile others in our gang were trying to figure and auto which could take us back to our destination… But as it would have been we had a hard time finding a rickfella. Finally after loads of attempt we made a move in bus no. 11( started walking). After of walk of say ½ hr managed to get one at a very high price…. Six of us were beautifully stuffed in one rick and the rest of the gang members in another /):D

Finally after so many hardships we reached our vehicle… There ashish tried hand at taking out the vehicle.. Must say he is a very good driver :DDD he believes in starting the vehicle in any other gear, but one :PPP On the trip back it was as if only the driver was wide awake and the rest all were in deep slumber. Finally after a journey of say more than 3 hrs we entered b’lore by 9:40 pm and then the nxt gr8 job to be accomplished was to have dinner… Finally we decided to have it at aangan, koramnagla…. Must admit the dinner was fabulous.. may be it was the company and the hunger tht made it all the more gr8….

When I started out for this trip i knew only Sheebz, garry, Rashmi and kshitij from the gang… but to be frank by the time we reached shivanasamudram I got so familiarized with the newbies tht I never ever felt tht I was meeting them for the first time…. Have to admit mangesh, nita, smitha and ashish are fun to be with. Rashmi, Sheebz and garry are always the sweethearts who can make my day and our DJ Kshitij is a gr8 person to be with. Ashish was the prank master amongst all… Special thanks to ashish for the butter phulka :DD It was really a gr8 weekend minus the pains inflicted at various parts of the body :DD These water fresh memories will be there with me throughout my life…… Hope to enjoy many more of them…….
