Ek Bheegi Si Sham..........

To me rainy days have always been the romantic time… I donno whether others are believers of the same.. but I do believe it to be one of the finest seasons u can witness, the only condition being it shuldn’t become the one that adds to ur misery.....

The first rains of b’lore this year was and will always be memorable for me, not becoz I happened to get drenched in the same, but coz I got the chance to get drenched in the rains at a very beautiful spot, at a weird time (11:00 pm) and with a very good friend of mine ;))):DDDD But that was say 2 months back. After that night it seemed as if b’lore was totally engulfed in heat waves.

Last year when I landed in b’lore I used to curse the frequent rains in b’lore. It used to be like whenever I didn’t carry an umbrella, it would rain like hell that very evening and ultimately I used to get drenched fully :((((((( Then my consistent stmt used to be “Ye Baarish thamthi kyon nahi” :DDD But this year the curse content differed “B’lore main baarish kyon nahi ho rahi hai” :DDDDD Now thats what you say cribbing about everything you get whether good or bad :PPPPP

The present day scenario in b’lore is normal, with rains every evening – making the climate here all the more cooler…. Aah these days evenings are romantic out here in b’lore .. a perfect place for couples I guess ;))))) But the incident that I witnessed wasn’t the one of my imaginations.. although it wasn’t bad either.....

Last Thursday, I had an official appointment with Mr. X, at his work place. Amidst loads of work I somehow managed to schedule an an official meet at arnd 5:30 pm. Now as it would have been the beginning of the day itself wasn’t gr8, I came to office pretty late say 1 ½ hr late :DDD The reasons are ample for the same – beginning with late hrs of working I have been witnessing these days and in addition to that the late night calls :DDDD kaise koi late nahi hoga :PPPP. By 4:45 I made a move to meet Mr. X. At that moment I was quiet sure it wouldn’t rain from the weather condition outside. So I didn’t bother to carry my windsheater as a precautionary measure, all the more coz my destination was just 5-6 kms away from my working location.

As would have been this time too, my bhavishyavani went hayway :DDD It wouldn’t have been even 2 kms and it started raining like hell, with wind blowing at its full rage. Just a single shower and I was fully and totally drenched… The only part of my body to be safe from rains, was my head and face which was fully safe within my helmet :PPPP It was fun if it would have been rain alone, but the angry wind was shivering me like anythng. It was so pathetic a situation, to control myself and the scooty I was driving :(((((( Finally somehow I managed to reach the destination fully drenched..

Once inside the company premises, it seemed as if I was the centre of attraction. Adding fuel to the fire was the fact that the person whom I was supposed to meet was already engaged in some meeting which got scheduled at the eleventh hour. But somehow the receptionist helped me out with a towel and some tissues :DDD Finally Mr. X came and the very site of me made him feel pity on me.

Inspite of the fact that I was totally drenched he offered me a seat inside his cabin which meant I would be spoiling the office carpet with the water dripping from my clothes. Not only did he offer me a seat on one of those sophisticated chairs in his office, he also offered me the coffee which he had made for himself. As it was raining outside he didn’t want meet to drive back home in that condition, so he asked me to wait there uptil the time rain subsides a bit. Meanwhile I was totally in a dilemma to continue with what I had come for or else keep mum. Finally as it would have been I began with the official talks and somehow with passage of time it didn’t turn out to be the one we were supposedly meeting for.

We began talking with the official stuff and ended up knowing each other personally. I was surprised to find a person having so many similarities as mine ranging from acads to professional life to personal!!! Forgot to mention in the meantime, I had 3 cups of coffee :DDD and himself 4 cups :DDD If it hadn’t been for my mobile, I would have never realized that the rains had stopped long back and I had to make a move from that place. The talks were so interesting that I never even once thought that I was totally drenched and shivering few moments back. While bidding adeau we both exchanged mailids to keep in touch…..

If the furious rain can get me such good frnds I don’t mind getting wet again :DDD But to be frank a nice way of getting introduced to an official person personally... And spl thnx to the coffee he offered.... Will have those wet memories afresh throughout my life... woh bheegi si shaam bhi kuch ajeeb thi..
