A Day Off......

      Its been months together I have ever taken a leave on a weekday and njoyed the leisure of free day time :D:D. On Friday I got this chance and had taken off and wanted to relax and rest….

      Day began for me a few minutes later than the usual day on a weekday .. to be specific at arnd 8:45…. Now having completed with my morning chores I went down to catch up with my morning coffee and paper news. Going through the papers it felt as if only One Man Ruled the Entire Paper .. the one and only “BILL GATES”. Surfing through all the related articles on Bills Gates visit to India and his future ventures I felt as if I was reading and re-reading the same stuff in every other article on him…. Finally having had enough of Bill’s insight on IT industry I decided to be away from IT world for today atleast and so with another cup of coffee I went to my room.

      Back in room I decided to listen to some old classics which included my favorites like Kishore Da and Rafi Sahab… With such enchanting music in the background I started with my half pending novel “The Kite Runner”. The environment was so mesmerizing I never realized I would be such a fast reader and I couldn’t believe myself having completed the novel in few hrs time… But then again I was stuck up it was only 12:00 pm and wht should I do nxt?? (((((

      Then it struck to me I better do some cooking tried something and got something, ultimately ended up ordering food from outside :D:D Finally once completed with my lunch again I was back in pavilion. My mind was still at work deciding upon what chore to take up next?? Now the only option left was to have a nap but being not very much used to a noon nap that too turned out to be a futile attempt..

      Then it struck to me why not do some cleaning up stuff ….. Once having begun with cleaning never realized where it went wrong and instead of a spic and span environment I was amidst complete mess :D:D:D Then somehow managed and brought it back to the original condition atleast and then decided to surf through some magazines or books… thus ended up going through pcquest, femina, tinkle etc…. Finally by evening time it was as if I had gone through a hell lot of articles books and all stuffs I could lay hand on and tried some experiments whch didn’t bear good results :D:D

      Then came the most awaited evening time wherein you can atleast time pass coz almost all of the girls would be back but as bad luck would have been none of them turned up it seemed as if I was passing a never ending day :D:D Then one of our PG mates turned up and she wanted to apply some mehandi on her hands …hmm thts something interesting I can lay hand on and showed all my skills and talents on tht small canvass…… She was totally flattered with my artistic skills :D:D.. Then throughout the evening the most awaited pgmates and myself spent time chit chatting and surfing through all of the channels … not to be surprised weren’t watching any of those boring soaps or series… but ads, ads and more ads :D:D

      By the end of the day back in my room in my cozy bed whn I rethink initially I felt as if I wasted an entire day uselessly… But now thinking back it doesn’t sound to be a day wasted… Every time I used to wonder if not a S/W engg. or at least not have been working what would I have done, how would have I passed my time … But now with a day off from work I realized how many ways time can be spent although all of my ways were not fruitful but I had ample amount of time to meet with all of them in bits and pieces…… Truly now it seems I should take a day off on a weekday and work on a weekend to experience the vice versa life ....

* Read the entire collection of shakespeare in original latin literature. (which i couldn't the first time i tried :D:D)
* Get a scorpio(my favorite rt now) and go on long rides :)))
* Go on date with the man of my dreams (abhi main bhi chehra dekhne ki koshish main hoon :D:D)
* Be away from this madding crowd and settle down in a beautiful and peaceful place :))

A Memorable Train Travel!!!

     This diwali was a time of surprises for me i guess.... everythng that happened and has been happening since then has had a great impact on my life :))))

     This blog is about a particular incident that happened during my onward journey from b'bay to baroda....I had got my tix for avadh express for my onward journey..... I boarded the train from Bandra Terminus and its the origin station for the train also and it was supposed to leave by 10:40 :) ... I had two guys and a middle aged uncle in our compartment... Initially the very appearance of the guys wasn't comfortable it appeared to me as if they didn't belong to the sophisticated decent category :D:D Then adding fuel to the fire was the fact that one of them didn't have a confirmed ticket.... As it would have been human mind it got into mind that i have got degraded category of guys with me this journey :(((( Inspite of the fact that i usually prefer reading a novel ....i decided to wind up fast and go to sleep early even whn it was only 10:50 pm and the main being that one of them was sitting on my birth (mine was lower berth) and wanted him to sit aloof frm me :D:D:D I told in a rather stern and rude voice to vacate the berth so tht i can relax ....

     As it would have been being scared i was having intermittent sleep....and purposefully was peeping through half open eyes to keep a watch on those guys......But on one such moment to my utter embarrasment i found them instructing some passer-by not to sit on my berth as i would get disturbed .. tht was for the first time i realized "Apperances are often deceptive"..

     Then i don't knw as fate required i decided to get up and continue with my novel coz i wasn't feeling sleepy at all.. Then came an old lady in our compartment who also didn't have a confirmed seat and being sick one of the guys offered her his seat to relax... tht was the moment i realized wht actuallly is the difference between preaching and practicing humanity...

     Then it came to me that wht all happened and was happening before that wasn't what they deserved....i shouldn't have done such a thng even in my dreams to ppl who are very pretty helping minded.... From there through and through the old lady a conversation stuck between the guys and myself .. beginnig with name, job and such thngs we ended up talking abt places and life :))) They were basically from agra working in b'bay and pretty much into s/w industry...and tht too working on java... and one of the guys did his BTech from kerala so it was all the more fun talking abt a place knwn to both of us...

     It was such a soothng talk tht i never realized tht it was already 3:00 am and within 1 hrs time i would be at my destination.... And u won't imagine those 1 hrs was like a min.. i never knew time flies :))))

     Then finally was the end of a gala time ... as it would have been by 4:15 a.m our train reached baroda and the last act of help they did for me they got my luggage down to the platform for me and from the distance i saw my father approaching us... I introduced them to my father.... It was my father who took the initiative to pen down his number and mailid....Truly that was a time whn i saw and xperienced the feeling that helping minded young guys are still arnd us...

     All tht nights incidents are still very much fresh and will remain forever... Hope to njoy lot more such memorable train journeys........

Another TLTE cum oldies meet at b'bay!!!!

     This time too I decided to reach baroda via b’bay coz I had to meet some of my b’bay frnds also…. So this time also met 2 tltians 

     As per the plan I stayed at IIT with one of my frnds poorni :))) I was supposed to reach dadar by 7:30 and saras was supposed to receive me there and the nxt day I was supposed to do some diwali shopping in a place called Mulund … Now at the last moment the plans got changed and instead of getting down at dadar I got down at kalyan and went straight frm there to Mulund for shopping :D:D:D There even the security got scared looking at my luggage…. but somehow once we started shopping I never even once thought of the weight I was already carrying and started adding all the thngs I could lay hand on :D:D Finally at the end of shopping I was out with a stock of shopping materials whch would fill another bag similar to the one I had already got from b’lore :D:D:

     Once finished with shopping, saras and myself reached IIT by arnd 11:00 pm… After dumping the luggages in the lab we had our dinner and thn came bak to have some chit chat at the lab with my other oldies  Now uptil arnd 1:00 or something we talked and did time pass and then finally it stuck to me that I was supposed to call up our very own alchemist (kiran – on tlte) … and finally after lots of attempts I got connected to him (Note : If you wanna call alchemist keep on trying…. its for sure that he will not answer your call b4 40 rings approx :D:D thts means 3 calls :O:D:D) nyways I called up and to my utter surprise found he was awake and fully free and was ready to meet us and as per my punctuality I told him I’ll call him up once I make a move towards my hostel…

     Then as it would have been we got more delayed with some of my other frnds and finally I called him up by arnd 2:30 a.m tht we would meet in front of girls hostel (my abode ):D:D:D Finally at abt 2:45 a.m saras and myself met the so called alchemist of tlte :D:D A tall, shy and smart guy – really a rare combi :D:D To be frank a very shy guy and me being the chatter box was the one talking the entire time :D:D And mind it in btwn he used to talk whenever we used to mention abt his sweetheart ;))))))):P Meanwhile I gave saras and alchemist some time off to discuss their past IIT experiences also :D:D:

     Being with two shy and silent guys (alchemist and saras) I couldn’t believe we chatted for almost 2 hrs and finally by arnd 4:30 am in the morning we parted :D:D The nxt day was the most hectic. Saras, a frnd of mine and myself went for shopping and ghoomne in HN :D:D The entire day went and I didn’t even realize tht it was time for me to leave………

     And finally by 9:00 in the night I started for bandra alongwith saras who was also leaving for his native tht day and we both bid addeau and left for our respective destinations …. It was memorable moment again in b’bay with 2 tltians and all my old frnds … Truly missing b’bay and all my IIT frnds …………

Memorable Trip to Baroda!!!

     This time i took two weeks off to njoy life to fullest at baroda during diwali. Uptil the D'day i wasn't even sure whether my leaves would be approved and finally just before 2 hrs as my luck would have favoured my leaves were confirmed and i was on my way to baroda via b'bay .. and abt my b'bay stay there's another post tht will follow. :)

     From the very day i reached baroda it was like a festive occasion for me And on top of it my Big B was already there to receive me :P:P (I met him after 6 long months :(((( )

     I reached baroda 1 day prior to diwali and had ample amt of time to get crackers and sweets and for doing all small small preps :))) I don't believe i helped my mamma in preparing some delicacies also and the best of my preps turned out to be 'gujiya' also called 'gughra'. Truly when i used to be in baroda (uptil engg. final sem) i never ever realized the importance of diwali... it was as if another holiday or gala time thts it. It was for the first time whn i came down to b'bay and now all the more far away to b'lore that i realize the actual value of this festival :) Its not the crackers or the sweets thats fun.. its a reunion with so many ppl also especially oldies.. and this time it was a grand reunion for me and I guess for all the ppl who were there :)))

     The very nxt day of diwali for gujjus is knwn as 'bestu varas' (NEW Year)... thts the time whn all the ppl visit their frnds and relatives:)) On tht particular day i made a visit to all my gujju frnds in baroda and the nxt day it was like frnds attacking my home :D:D But it was fun :))

     Then the following week and weekend we had many more get togethers and all the more this was the first time ever after i left baroda i had the gr8 luck of meeting my school frnds.. it was the most cherishable moment in my life a gr8 reunion and all chit chats abt the mischievious school life and college life we had :))

     Truly school life and college life are the ones that can never ever go out of ny person's heart or mind .... but in my case its somewhat extended i guess :D:D:D even in my professional life i am mischievious :D:D (Donno whn my boss will come across this and punish me for all the mischieves i have done and not been punished for :D:D)

     I don't have words to conclude these sweet reunions that i witnessed during the few days i was in baroda... But one thng for sure is that these reunions have given me all the strength and hope to live a fun filled life for another 7 generations :)) It was fun and it was an unforgettable trip too :))) met so many new and old frnds all in 2 weeks time..........
